Hye,this is my second entry after the prologue. If you're not Malaysian, I guess you won;t understand anything that I've said right? Nevermind the prologue...well I won't rewrite it again because I think that is not important at all. At first I want my craft blog to be in Malay, but then more than half of my readers here are from outside Malaysia. So, I decided to write in English afterwards. For my Malaysian readers, you can check out my other Malay blog
here.

A cute handmade pencil case. |
Cute right? Okay, maybe not so cute. But my friends love it. I made this for her. Even the pink straps was also sewn by me. Actually the whole thing was sewn by my hand. Because that it is called handmade. I would like to give a tutorial on this, but it won't have any real picture on the steps. Maybe next time I made something, I will put a lot of step-by-step picture.
Here's the simple step:
1. Things you'll need:
- old jeans
- scrap of clothes
- zip
- needle
- thread
|
this is the zip view. yellow=zip, purple=small clothes |
2. Cut out the size you needed for your pencil case from the side of your jeans. Take from the lower part, don't touch the upper part. The reason I always use jeans to make my pecil case is because it is thicker than normal clothes.
3. Sew the zip on the top. Because you're using the side of your jean, you will have only 3 sides that need to be sewn. After you're done with zip, there will be only 2 hole on both left and right. Don't forget to slip inside a small piece of clothes at the end of your zip so your zip won't run.
4. Cut any shape you want from the scrap of old clothes to decorate the front pencil case. You can find adorable clothes at the bundle. If you want your work to be nice and clean, you can use felt cotton because the thread won't be worn out from the side. Or maybe you burn the side a little with a candle. I use that way sometimes.
5. To stick your artwork, you can sew like what I'm doing above or just glue it.
6. Finish off the hole earlier nicely.

This is how it look inside. I add a piece of cloth inside. |
That's all!! Thanks for reading. Sorry for the bad drawing and for my unfluent English :)
